(p=5) → 144 Nodes

The VAULT is the foundation entropy pool. IBM Quantum hardware runs a circuit seeded by prime p=5, producing 144 independent measurements. Each one is physically random — no algorithm, no pattern. Together they form a provably unique entropy source with a traceable IBM job ID.

Qubit State Space

Unit quaternions and Bloch sphere rotations are the same mathematical object — both are representations of SU(2), the group governing all qubit dynamics. Each of the 144 Hurwitz quaternions at norm p=5, normalized to SU(2), rotates the |0⟩ state to a unique point on the Bloch sphere. The 144 resulting points form the exact orbit of |0⟩ under F4 symmetry.

v' = ( 2(bd+ac)/5 , 2(cd−ab)/5 , (2a²+2d²−5)/5 )

What does this mean?

Every qubit state is just a point on a sphere, and the 144 VAULT measurements aren't unique by luck — the math guarantees they land on 144 distinct points that can never overlap, no matter how many times the process repeats. As the foundation pool, VAULT is the fastest of the three to harvest and the natural entry point into the QES-256 standard: every key still ships with the same IBM Quantum Job ID provenance as VIPER and LOTUS, just at a smaller, quicker-to-generate scale.

Key Architecture

The 144 QES keys are generated from a single prime seed (p=5) using the Hurwitz quaternion formula. Each key has unique 4D coordinates (a, b, c, d) with norm = 5, arranged radially around the central seed.

Entropy Harvesting

The VAULT runs a single IBM Quantum hardware job that produces 144 measurements — each one physically random, determined by quantum mechanics rather than any algorithm. The prime p=5 seeds the circuit geometry, ensuring all 144 measurements are structurally independent. Every measurement is traceable to a real IBM Job ID, meaning the randomness can be independently verified. Quantum V^ is a hardware-validated entropy source — not a replacement for existing cryptographic systems, a provable foundation beneath them.

Scalability Elegance

The architecture scales with the number of primes you use. One prime, one quantum batch; more primes, more uniquely-seeded nodes—no redesign. \(p=5\) → 144 nodes \(p=13\) → 336 nodes \(p=17\) → 432 nodes Three primes = 912 uniquely-seeded nodes from 3 quantum batch jobs. Each node gets a deterministic, hardware-validated entropy seed. Add primes as you need capacity; the math stays the same.
